Question about German

Hello. I am trying to figure out, when should I say "Deutsche" and when "Deutschen" when referring to a group of German people. There are these two sentences:

"Ich sehe die zwei Deutschen."

"Ich sehe zwei Deutsche."

So, German people are "Deutsche" when I do not use any article and "die Deutschen", when I use the definite article "die"? Thank you for help.
