Question about Spanish (Spain)

How do people in Spain pronounce “ll”

I want to develop an authentic accent specifically an accent resembling the one from Spain. I heard that some people pronounce “ll” as Y and other people pronounce it as a soft J sound. Do people in Spain use the J version or only pronounce it as a Y? Using the soft J sound comes more naturally to me when speaking Spanish but if this isn’t how people in Spain pronounce “ll” then I would prefer to pronounce it normally.

Thanks in advance!
