Question about Japanese

What does 本人なり mean?

"お話して、AよりもBのほうへの関心が強いということが分かり、弊社での就労について本人なりに再検討していただくとの結果となりました。"

Hello, I would like to ask the grammar of the phrase 本人なり in this sentence. I thought the meaning of this sentence is "after discussion, we realize that the candidate has more interest in A postion more than B position, then we decided to reconsider about letting her work in our company".

However, I could not understand why there is なり after 本人 and I do not know if this will affect the meaning of the whole sentence.

I checked it on google and just found the phrase 自分なりに, which means like "within my ability (?)" and I do not think that it is relevant.

Please kindly help me explain about this.

Thank you in advance.
