拉人 is pronounced as laai1 jan4.
And lion seems like laai1 an4.
The tone is the same as “lion”, but 人 begins with a “j” sound.
But if you pronounce 拉人 as lion in a sentence, I guess it sounds natural enough.

獅子 and 撕紙 have the same pronunciation (si1 zi2).
獅子 means lion.
撕紙 means to tear paper.
