Imagery is a literary device or writing technique that appeals to our senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell.
So, “It was a dark, stormy night” 🌌⛈ appeals to our sense of sight
“The cookie was soft, warm, and buttery” appeals to our sense of touch and taste
