@Miah_Tuinn
there's also another one I forgot to mention
ου = ou (as yOU)
Examples:
αι - Αίγυπτος (égiptos) Egypt
ει - Ειρήνη (iríni) Peace
οι - Οικονομία (ikonomía) Economy
αυ - Αύγουστος (ávgoustos) August
*αυ - Αυτοκίνητο (aftokínito) Car
ευ - Ευγένεια (evgénia) Kindness
*ευ - Ευτυχία (eftixía) Happiness
ου - Ουαλία (Oualía) Wales -UK
*Rule:
αυ is pronounced as af only when:
αυ + θ/ κ/ ξ/ π/ σ/ τ/ χ
In any other cases, it is pronounced as av.
ευ is pronounced as ef only when:
ευ + θ/ κ/ ξ/ π/ σ/ τ/ χ and φ
In any other cases, it is pronounced as ev.
Other examples:
αϊ - Αϊ-Βασίλης (ai-vasílis) Santa Claus
εϊ - θεϊκός (theikós) Divine -male
οϊ - κοροϊδεύω (koroidévo) Make fun of/ tease
οϋ - προϋπολογισμός (proipologismós) Budget
Note that the tonos (') of the word κοροϊδεύω is on the letter ύ but only when you pronounce it, the tonos is transferred atop the first vowel so you pronounce it as év. The same goes for αύ as the example of Αύγουστος (ávgoustos) above.
