In Finnish Valentine's Day is "ystävänpäivä" which literally translates as Friend's day. Ofc we've taken some influence from the US/UK etc. and the day has become more and more about your partner, but there's still the connotation of celebrating friendship, especially for children (as far as I remember).
But I can't remember it being celebrated in any way and this concept of Valentine's Day Dance was totally new to me. :D
