Sí. Lo que yo suelo decir, incluso a mi mujer (la persona en quien más confío o con la tengo más familiaridad) es:
¿Te gustaría salir a tomar algo?
¿Te apetece / apetecería salir a tomar algo / a comer / a cenar?
Tengo muchas ganas de que salgamos a tomar algo. ¿Te apetece? / ¿Te parece bien?
Personalmente, creo que hay que ser educado y correcto con todas las personas. Por qué no también con las más cercanas a nosotros, si son quienes más lo merecen.
Hay un dicho en español: La confianza da asco (familiarity sucks). Precisamente porque la confianza, la familiaridad, muchas veces supone no ser tan amable y educado como lo somos con las personas con las que no existe esa confianza.

No hay apenas diferencia, sobre todo por escrito (por ejemplo, en un mensaje de texto).
Me apetece y me gustaría son expresiones más educadas, menos familiares, pero muchas personas las empleamos, también, con familiares y amigos. Yo quizás usaría “quiero” o “tengo ganas” cuando me limito a informar a otra la persona, sin pretender que salgamos juntos, que venga conmigo y “me apetece” o “me gustaría”, con la entonación adecuada, como si se lo estuviera proponiendo a la persona que me escucha o que lee mi mensaje.
En su caso, la diferencia esencial radicaría en el énfasis que pusieras al decirlo oralmente, en el tono con el que lo dijeras al hablar.
