と is “and”, which can be only used for connecting one and another.
・バナナとリンゴが好きです。
I like bananas and apples.
そして is mainly used for starting a sentence. In this case, it means “then” or “after that”.
・そして誰もいなくなった。
Then everyone disappeared.
・私は彼とけんかした。そして私は彼の家を出た。
I got in a fight with him. After that, I left his apartment.
