Question about English (US)
If you and I were best friends, is it a little weird that I ask you “Would you like to have lunch with me after class?”, “What would you like to drink?”, “Could you say that again more slowly”?
Is it weird that I ask my teacher “Can I ask another question?” and “Can you speak again more slowly”?
Also, is it weird that I ask a clerk “ I want to buy a milk, can you tell me where it is?”
if so, could you tell me your feeling when you hear that? :)

Everything sounds great except for the phrase, "Could you say that again more slowly?" It would sound more natural and polite if you said, "Could you please repeat that again a little slower?"

@Ninaaaaaa5155 it is also incorrect to say “a milk”. “I would like to buy some milk. Could you please tell me where it is” is both more polite and grammatically correct

@ArtyJim
Thank you for replying to me.
If I use “some milk”, does it have a possibility of getting me wrong? Or buying a bottle of milk or two bottles of milk is not important in this situation? It confuses me😅

@Ninaaaaaa5155 since milk is a substance it's generally fine to say "some milk" (ex: "I want to buy some milk", "I want to drink some milk")! You could also just say "milk" by itself ("I want to buy milk")
