あそこ is “there”.
ここ is “here”.

Hi,
向こう originally means opposite from, in a facing position. Therefore, you would say 向こう about the place opposite from you.
When you see a building which is opposite from you, you would say
向こうにビルが見えます。
Remember that 向こう needs some distance, so you wouldn’t say 向こう if you’re just in front of the building.
In that case, you would say 私はビルの前にいます。
あそこ refers to the position far from you just like over there.
あそこ is an opposite word for ここ
あそこに公園があります。
Hope that my explanation will help you :-)
