In the sentence "같이 밥을 먹으로 갑시다" what is the function of "으로"?
In the sentence "같이 밥을 먹으로 갑시다" what is the function of "으로"?
Cause I've been told that the "으로" is for directions or indicating going somewhere.

In that sentence, ‘으로’ is not correct word. ‘으러’ is correct expression.
“같이 밥을 먹으러 갑시다.”
‘-(으)러’ means purpose for doing something.
