Assuming that each pair of the sentences means the same thing, do you find two sentences equally acceptable? If not, which one do you find difficult to accept?

(1) a. I think it is a story about John.
b. I think it is a story that is about John.

(2) a. It is not a story about John.
b. It is not a story that is about John.

(3) a. Who did he see a report about?
b. Who did he see a report that was about?
