@aronianlebon Yes. If they wanted to emphasize that they're actively looking at a butterfly, I'd still say
"I'm looking at a butterfly."
or even
"I'm watching a butterfly."

It's not grammatically incorrect, but it does sound a little strange.
Normally, you'd hear,
"I see a butterfly."
instead! :)
