The word “resent” and “ indignant” means the same or used interchangeably?

“Resent” is a verb. “Indignant” is an adjective.
To resent is to feel bitter towards someone/something.
To be indignant is to feel angry towards something/someone you believe is unjust.
Resentment often brings feelings of indignation. But these are not to be used interchangeably.
