Question about English (US)

/Small essay about Russian customs/

Each country has its customs. When it comes to Russia, customs vary from city to city, because Russia is big and the mindset of the east is super different from the mindset of the west.
I live in Kaliningrad which is the westmost point. I think we don`t have any unique custom. We have lots of red-letter days, for example, the 9th of May. During fests, we usually prepare lots of meals and spend time with family.
Also, youngsters give a place to older people in buses and other vehicles.
Some people visit churches on Sunday to pray.
As for me, I think that values these days change super fast and customs that we had tens of years ago have no much weight now. People become more open-minded, and tolerant, and self-oriented, so old customs are not a real thing in my region. It is mostly about respect to tradition - not a custom.
