They are pretty much the same, but I think thereās a slight difference.
āI feel sickā is when you feel like you have a cold, virus, fever, etc.
āIām not feeling wellā is most commonly used when you feel sick, just like the expression above, but it can also be used when youāre in other types of discomfort (like breaking your arm, extremely tired, etc.)

Your health is your wellbeing. People in the US have wellness exams to see if everything in their body is working properly.
So āwellā is a state of health that is good.
Not feeling well means something is not right with your body - you could be sick with a cold or sick to your stomach (nauseated)... but you can also be feeling down (depressed) or have a headache, which many would not use the word āsickā for.
So āfeeling sickā is one of many things that could make you not āfeel well.ā

"Sick" is more specific than "not well." If I feel sick, I also do not feel well. But the reverse is not necessarily true. "Sick" is typically for illnesses, or for nausea. If I have a headache, or I'm stressed out, or I didn't get enough sleep last night, I can say I don't feel well, but I wouldn't say I feel sick.
"I feel sick" can also be used to express disgust or extreme worry over something.
"I can't believe how that boss treated his employees. I feel sick."
"So many people have lost their jobs, I feel so sick over it!"
In this meaning, you can't use "I don't feel well."

@callmeJenny if they have a headache they may say they donāt feel well but more often will be specific and say they have a headache
They wonāt say they are sick though
