Driver is for someone who is driving the vehicle.
Chauffeur is somebody who is paid to drive you around. People use the word driver instead of chauffeur sometimes.

Chauffeur usually refers to someone that drives another person in a luxury vehicle, such as a limousine or Rolls Royce. A driver can also used instead of chauffeur. If you get an Uber or a taxi, use "driver" and not "chauffeur."
