Question about English (US)

Someone's help!

I have consumed great loads of explanations, not in a clearly way at all, about if "so far" is correct using the present perfect tense.

According to my logic, yes, it is OK, but in my text book there is an exercise with this sentence: I have lived here /insert here one of the following options/

The answer key tells me that one of the answer is not "so far" at the end of that sentence. However, I do not understand why, because I have read a lot of information by people telling that present perfect + so far is correct.

Why not here?

Please, some help!
