Question about English (US)

About an idiom ”due to”.

I saw a Japanese website explaining the idiom ”due to”. It says that the idiom ”due to” is used for negative situations such as bad weather, car accident, and so on.
E.g. The flight has been canceled due to bad weather.

Do you use the idiom in a positive situation like We won the game due to our trainer’s excellent teaching?
