Question about English (UK)

(firstly context, then the question)
I finished reading the second of a series(legendary by Stephanie Garber). We're doing read-along with the group. I read ahead. I wrote a comment somewhere: I read 79 pages today. I finished Legendary by Stephanie Garber. What a story!. Someone replied the comment: "sooo good! Are you going to be able to hold back on Finale? " (Finale is the last book in the series.)
I looked up 'hold back' on the dictionary but I can't be sure what she meant exactly. Can you explain the sentence exactly, please? 😅
