Question about Japanese

Is there a difference between 干物 (ひもの) and 乾物 (かんぶつ).

I read that himono are like...not completely dried, and refer to dried seafood, and that kanbutsu are completely dried, and can be anything like fish or vegetables.

Can someone explain the difference?
