I refer to the entire outside Portion of my property as my yard. My garden is a part or specific section of my yard, where I grow food and/or flowers.

@COASTBC Oh, a very clear answer. So my house doesn't have a garden but the back part of my house is a closed place where we usually put some random things in there like: washing machine, the clothes to naturally dry by the sun so we put them on exposure to the sun and a bicycle other stuff.... Is that part of my house a yard? It is not actually inside it's an outside place where we put random things.

@KDA_MB Correct, any part of your land that doesn't include your house is called, your yard. They are typically grass, trees and gardens, but the same word is used if it's all concrete and not natural at all.
