The difference for me is that the second sentence doesn't sound so natural, kinda litterary because we use to start clauses with "although" and rather use "though" between words or in the end of sentences. Beyond that, nonetheless, nevertheless, however, although, etc. are all interchangeable. Nonetheless sounds the most formal of all.
