grasp: to hold onto something
clutch: to tightly hold something
grab: to suddenly and roughly hold something
clog: to become blocked by a thick, wet material.
Example: this drain is clogged with leaves.
clasp: to tightly hold something with your hand

But "clasp" means you use your hand.
Ex: I clasp my arm.
Ex: The chewing gum clutches my shoe. (There is no hand)
cling: to hold tightly and not let go
