The best way is to split up the syllables and over-emphasise the pronounciation. Remember how it is pronounced this way even if it doesn't sound like the word
>Wednesday is thought of as Wed-nes-day

I don’t know, I think it depends and it gets easier with practice 😅
I would recommend writing those words down many times in tiny pieces of paper and maybe hang them on the fridge or put them on the desk so you can see them frequently and slowly become used to them without noticing much.
That’s what i did with some korean words, so i hope it helps ☺️

Honestly, I still struggle with those. I visit Google often for spellings.
In some cases I create a story to remind me. Example. dessert and desert.
Dessert, the "extra" dish at the end of a meal. The spelling also has the "extra" S.

I'll check the spelling carefully, write it many times with exaggerated pronunciation for each syllable, and think of a wonderful story, and it wound be remember naturally.
