@lovia12 “I want to be a doctor” means 我愿意当医生。The speaker could already be a doctor, or not. “I want to become a doctor” means 我想成为医生。This person is not already a doctor. Make sure to include “to” in the sentence in front of “become”.

@lovia12 “I want to be a doctor” and “I want to become a doctor” mean the same thing, but I find the first sentence to be more common and natural sounding
