You need one more word: "to." "How was the restaurant you went to yesterday?" Other ways to say "more or less": It was okay. It was all right. I can't complain. It was so-so. (This one sounds a *little* bit more negative to my ear.) It wasn't too bad. (This one sounds negative only if you put the emphasis on the "too.")

It kinda sounds unnatural. I think most people would just say something like "mmm...it was okay" or for me I'll say "mmm.it was ok I guess" So it technically wasn't the best nor the worst.
