What does sophomore (not about the meaning!)
Do you use this word while just naturally speaking? Can you change it to "freshman" or even "newbie"? Which is the most common noun to call a beginner at sth? If there are any more suitable words, please, tell me! mean?

"Freshman" and "sophomore" are not the same thing. You can not use the word "Freshman" instead of "Sophmore".
A freshman is someone in their 1st year of High School or University.
A sophmore is someone in their 2nd year of High School or University.
They cannot be exchanged as labels without time travel.
We only use these words for schooling that takes 4 years.
For example, if someone was new to a job, they would be called "the new person" or "newbie", not a freshman. If someone was starting to learn to play violin, more experienced students might call them a "newbie" but the teach would call them a "beginner".
