the mean the same, altough "foe" is an old term that's rarely, except in books. Enemy is more common. 'Foe' is also a polite way to say 'enemy.' Your can also use 'arch enemy' when you see enemy as the worst kind.

foe is more formal and an older term. no one would say it today except in writing or a movie about, for example, medieval times. enemy is common in today's conversation. both have the same definition but are not completely interchangeable.

thank you how interesting English is. for example with the two of this word meaning. I don't think we have something like that in Spanish such a old word terms. I'm pretty sure it should be but not that I can think of on top of my head right now.
