How do you say this in English (US)? Why people use “what is this mean” instead of “what does it mean?” even though it’s a wrong grammar

English speakers do not say “what is this mean?” We would say “what does this mean?”

English learners are probably just making a mistake.

I think when we say “what does” quickly it can sound like “whaddis.”

Our speaking can be very lazy.

It's probably people saying "what's this mean" (ie what does this mean, but contracted), which can sound like "what is this mean" when you say it fast
