It's kind of a conditional sentence here. LeeAnn will kill her/him only if he/she tell her(LeeAnn) what they talked about, otherwise that will not happen. That's why Would is there

She is talking about something she said in the past but at that moment in the past, she was saying that she would be killed in the future
