More natural would be:
1. Many books have been written about Asian history.
2. I've stayed here for many reasons.

1. There is many a book written about Asian history (or “the history of Asia” which sounds a bit more formal)
Using “many a” is a bit formal but you are using it correctly. We wouldn’t usually say it during normal modern conversations.
