In winter in Japan, the air get drier and clearer. This let us see far away in the distance than the other seasons at the peak of mountains. That’s the reason I like climbing up mountains in winter.

you should say
During winter in Japan,the air gets dry and clear. This lets us see far away in the distance at the peak of mountains than the other seasons. That's the reason I like climbing mountains in winter.

don't say climbing up since climbing already means up not down
