Rude is a more aggressive word in my opinion. Sassy is used for describing children a lot of times.

They’re similar in a way, but rude describes someone being disrespectful, while sassy describes someone being more amusing

Rude generally refers to behavior that is impolite, ill-mannered, selfish, or in some contexts raunchy/sexual.
Sassy is often used to describe someone who is lively, confident or flamboyant and who is known for making bold remarks (often with a sharp or snappy attitude) that may be considered a little rude or disrespectful to the person they're talking to (though sometimes the remarks are made in a playful/joking manner).
Sassy is sometimes used in a positive way (such as to indicate someone has a lively spirit and high level of energy/confidence) but in other contexts it can be used in a negative way to describe someone who is brazenly disrespectful (such as when describing a child who acts sassy toward their parents).
