*Question: What does นะ mean and what difference (in terms of the tone of your voice/mood) does it make?
- Thai
There is no difference in term of meaning between ขอบคุณครับ and ขอบคุณนะครับ
Normally, you shouldn't translate "นะ" since there is no equivalent in English and it's usually used as a filler word which has no particular meaning at all.
Thai people customarily add "นะ" in the sentence that mean to make the listener become aware of something or give the expression that the speaker say something (sentence with นะ) that the listener don't know.
example:
ฝนตกแล้ว
It's raining (without any additional expression)
ฝนตกแล้วนะ
it's raining (with the expression assuming the listener did know it's raining at the time)
By adding "นะ", it may make your Thai sound a little more natural but ignoring them is totally fine in my opinion.

"นะ" can also be used when you beg for something. It make the sentence sound more like request than command.
example
ซื้อรถให้ผมหน่อยครับ (expression = Buy me a car.)
ซื้อรถให้ผมหน่อยนะครับ (expression = Please buy me a car.)
