@yetfang Personally, I think it’s more natural to not capitalise them.
Also, unless you go to a school where they insist the students call teachers ‘sir’ and ‘madam’, it’s not normal to call people these.
It’s more common to call teachers ‘miss’/ ‘sir’. I suggest calling teachers Mr/Ms ________ (their surname).
Example: Mr Johnson, Ms Harvey.
If you’re not sure whether a woman is married or not, just use Ms ___ instead of Mrs ___.
