Expect you think it will happen, like, you know a 60-70% percent it will happen, while anticipate is saying that you predict that event. So if you say, I’m expecting to get a 100% on my test it means you ara 60-70% sure you will get a 100%, but if you say, I’m anticipating a 100% on my test it means you are sure you will get a 100%.

to be honest, there’s not much of a difference. unless i’m mistaken, you could use whichever one you want.
