Can you please look at my spelling?
Hello there, my dear uncle. How have you been doing? The reason I bothered is that I can't show how thankful I am to you for my new course.

The spelling is all correct. The usage of 'bothered' is unnatural. I'd say "The reason I'm writing is that I can't tell you how thankful I am to you for my new course."

@Savalan Yes, "writing you" is acceptable. Maybe it's regional, but to me it's a perfectly natural thing to say.

@allansianadventurer Take care of yourself please. I don't want to bother you more, so I wish you to have a great night!

@Savalan I wouldn't think the writer was foreign at all. I hope you have a great night too!
