The main difference between WILL and WOULD is that would can be used in the past tense but will cannot. Also, would is commonly used to refer to a future event that may occur under specific conditions, while will is used more generally to refer to future events.
WILL EXAMPLES: (1) They will have two extra meetings this afternoon. (2) I will be thirty years old next year.
WOULD EXAMPLES: (1) I would phone Sue if I had her number. (2) We would have gone fishing on the weekend if the weather had been good.

What will you recommend would be used for a question to be answered later. example: What will you recommend (when he/she finished doing something, they will have an answer.) It's for the future.
