Honestly I don’t know but according to how have I seen it used on social media it’s best used when you are on your friends account and you say for example
“Let’s eat! Via deltafire12.”
So in my opinion it means that it’s coming from a different person and you’re using it to notify others that the message is not coming from the original source.
But one thing I do know is that it’s VERY effective on social media.
