worn out means an item or person that has been used many times. Burned out is about people, not items.

Burned out is when a person has done something for a long time and is tired of it and is not doing a good job at it anymore. They have lost their passion.
Worn out refers to a thing or a person. It means tired.
example, I have had these shoes for 10 years, they are worn out. OR After hiking 10 miles I am worn out!
