I don't know about Scandinavian, but Dutch and German are on levels 1 and 2 on the difficulty rankings. So they're some of the easiest languages for English speakers to learn because they're quite closely related to English

These 3 are Germanic Languages, but that doesn't mean they are very similar and mutually intelligible/understandable for a person from each of the 3 countries.
I am currently studying the German language and it is quite similar to English. I found out that English is a Germanic language meaning that it's roots are of the same with the Scandanavian, Dutch, and German languages.
