@Gratien42 Usually to crash is for the night because you're usually sleeping or resting for a while. It's perfectly ok to say you've found a comfortable armchair in a cafe to crash (to chill) for the afternoon.
I’ve not heard often to crash a conversation, but I think it can mean to interrupt rudely or to abruptly change the subject to something you want to talk about.
I’ve also heard of crashing a lecture in universities. It's when you sneak into a lecture hall for a lecture on a module that you've not officially enrolled in, just because you're interested in it.
If my computer crashes, it suddenly stops functioning or functions very slowly. Energy levels can crash too, like in the last quarter of a marathon when you're mentally and physically exhausted.

thank you for your answer, very helpful.
Last question, we were chatting with another user of the app following an answer, at the end I said sorry we crashed your question to say that we were sorry to abuse/ to take advantage of his question to debate with each other, what would you say in this case ?

I think “crash” works fine in this context to because you “crashed” the conversation or topic, interrupted it with another topic.
