It's used for changing the topic, acknowledging a statement or to introduce a conclusion.
The closest thing to "well then" in Japanese is "じゃ”
"Well then, I'll do it myself"
"じゃ、一人でします"
I hope this helps

Yes, "okay" and "alright" could also mean "well then" but only when the situation is calling specifically for a "well then" type response, so, only idiomatically. Or you could just say "okay then" or "alright then." Sorry if I sound condescending.
Also, sorry if I'm jumping to conclusions, but can you speak Filipino? I'd like you to proofread one of my answers in my Filipino class assignment if it wouldn't be a bother, thank you.

@username_is_taken Yeah, I thought about it that way too, it was just pretty hard for me to explain haha. No need to be sorry though, you gave great explanations. And yes, Filipino is also my native language, I'd be glad to help :)

Thanks, could you proofread this for me:
"Nakarating kami sa Tagaytay ng gamit lang ay bike."
Please explain to me the difference of "nakadating" and "nakarating." Also, I can't understand the difference of "ng" and "nang."
