Oh whoops. The pronunciation is not completely wrong by the way. If you read it all in English then of course it’s wrong. “No” in English and Italian sound completely different.

I mean maybe you have an accent in English. I speak in a pretty standard American-English accent. I mean I guess if you’re speaking casually you wouldn’t really pronounce the “t” it’d be more like a “d” so “dee”.

First of all I don’t have a east coast Italian accent. Secondly I speak both languages fluently and have heard multiple other speakers speak these languages. I don’t need IPA to know how they are pronounced by natives. After all natives don’t always use a standard pronunciation. I am familiar with IPA, but I don’t use it. Especially not for languages I speak fluently.

Anyway, I understand if you say that “no” in Italian and “naw” are not completely the same, but they’re quite similar. For an Italian who’s not fluent in English yet, it is much easier for them to pronounce Italian vowel sound “equivalents” than try to pronounce American vowels which are often pronounced as diphthongs.

Would you pronounce it “naw-dee”?
This is how I would write the pronunciation in English. At least where I’ve been this is how it’d be pronounced. I’m just curious as to how you’d say this word since you said my pronunciation is not correct.
