How do you say this in English (US)? Please check my English conversation in December.
A: I started my job last May.
B: Are you talking about this past May or the year before?
A: This past May.
B: I see. You meant you started it in May.

In the last sentence, I want to say
"今年の5月に始めたってことですね"
