What are the proper responses to "double-meaning phrases" that are usually spoken in 京言葉?

I recently came across this concept of "Kyoto-speak" or 「京言葉」, and how some of the locals in Kyoto tend to have a hidden meaning behind some of their words. I was wondering, what are the proper responses to some of these phrases (which are shown in the link below) that I can use to prevent an awkward atmosphere?

For example, how should I respond if someone says to me: "良い時計してますなぁ" ?
