We could also say
“I won’t eat those seeds” but using the present continuous tense here doesn’t change a lot. It’s just another way we say this sort of phrase.
Like
A: eat those seeds
B: I’m not eating those seeds
It just makes sense haha I’m not sure how to explain it. You can use either tense
