Did you hear someone compliment another person saying they "look sharp?" That is usually referring to how they are dressed and is usually only used on men.
I could compliment a Hollywood special-effects make-up job by saying it "looks really sharp" too, kind of a way of complimenting attention to detail.
But your face looking sharp? A woman's daily make-up looking sharp? No, we don't say that.
